We Deserve Better
Trail and ultra runners have been underserved for too long. Finding our next race should be straightforward. Understanding the course should be simple. Preparing with real data should be standard.
It's time we had the tools to find our next adventure. That's why I'm building bibstation.
The Opportunity
There are incredible races out there waiting to be discovered. Courses through mountains, deserts, and forests that would challenge and inspire us. The problem is finding them.
Discovery
Existing search tools make it hard to find races that match what we're looking for. I tried searching for races in Colorado—the tools don't even support that properly. Great races get buried because the search experience hasn't evolved.
Accuracy
Course data is often outdated or incomplete. Mileage that doesn't match the current route. Elevation profiles from years past. We deserve accurate information before we commit to a race.
Reliability
GPX files with missing aid stations or duplicate waypoints. Course files we can't fully trust on race day. We should be able to download a file and know it's right.
Bibstation's commitment: Uniformly formatted, race-ready GPX files with corrected elevation, accurate routes, and complete aid station data. Download it, load it, trust it.
What bibstation Will Be
Deep Race Search
Every way we might want to filter a race: location, state, difficulty, terrain, ecosystem, elevation, distance, time of year. Find exactly what we're looking for, not just what happens to show up.
Know What You're Getting Into
When we find a race, dive into every aspect: accurate course maps, elevation profiles, aid station details, terrain breakdown, cutoff analysis. See exactly what this race is and whether it's right for us.
