Race The Ranch 25K 2026
Race The Ranch 25K is a 15.5-mile snowshoe race held in early April at Snow Mountain Ranch YMCA near Granby, Colorado. The course consists of two loops of roughly 8 miles each, with around 2,000 feet of total climbing and aid every 4 miles or so. Expect a mix of singletrack, doubletrack, and groomed snowshoe trails winding through the ranch property at elevation. April conditions in Colorado can be variable — you might encounter everything from packed powder to softer snow depending on recent weather. The course may be modified based on conditions, so flexibility helps. With a generous 10-hour cutoff, this isn't about speed as much as steady movement through winter terrain. Runners comfortable with snowshoe racing and don't mind potentially changing course conditions will find this appealing. If you're new to snowshoeing or prefer predictable race logistics, the potential for course modifications might feel uncertain. The loop format means you'll see the start/finish area multiple times, which can be mentally helpful during longer snowshoe efforts.
