Louisville Trail Race Half Marathon
The Louisville Trail Half Marathon runs 13.1 miles on an out-and-back course through Louisville, Colorado, starting and finishing at Louisville Community Park in mid-November. The route covers mostly dirt trails with some bike path sections, gaining about 500 feet of elevation with notable climbs around miles 5.3 and 11.5. Running against the backdrop of the Flatirons, the course tours local trails that feel surprisingly varied for relatively modest terrain. The major hill creates a scenic high point with front range views, though most of the route stays closer to Louisville's trail network. At 6,400 feet elevation, November temperatures are typically cool and comfortable for running. Aid stations appear every few miles, including water-only stops and fuller aid at the Pub Hub station you'll hit twice on the out-and-back format. Runners who like gentle, runnable terrain with one meaningful climb will find this race fits well. The 3.5-hour time limit accommodates most paces, and the family-friendly post-race atmosphere makes it a solid choice for those wanting a scenic half without major technical challenges or extreme elevation gain.
